I'm Dani, a wedding and portrait photographer based on Vancouver Island, Canada. For over a decade, I've been documenting life, love, and the beautiful moments that exist somewhere in between.
My approach is rooted in connection, nostalgia, and the art of noticing. Working with both film and digital mediums, I blend documentary storytelling with thoughtful direction, creating imagery that feels honest, timeless, and deeply personal.
Inspired by fleeting light, human connection, the beauty in the ordinary, and the bittersweet nature of passing time. I'm drawn to the imperfect, the unposed, and the wonderfully unscripted.
I believe photographs should do more than capture how something looked. They should remind you how it felt.
My work is documentary at heart, editorial in its details, and nostalgic in its feeling.
I live in the Cowichan Valley with my partner and our little collection of four-legged and feathered friends.
When I am not behind the camera, you'll find me spending time with family, enjoying slow mornings, getting my hands dirty around the garden and farm, listening to old country songs, drinking good coffee, and trying to find the beauty in everyday.
